I am Md Mashrur Arifin , a Graduate Assistant and Ph.D. candidate in the Computing (Cybersecurity) program at Boise State University, Idaho, USA. I’m  conducting research under the guidance of Dr. Jyh-haw Yeh, with a primary focus on Adversarial Machine Learning (AML) in cybersecurity.

My current research explores the application of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) in ensembled malware detection systems. I am particularly interested in integrating multimodal deep learning techniques to enhance robustness in AI-based threat detection.

Before entering academia, I gained over four years of hands-on experience as a Lead Network Security Engineer, where I led technical teams and deployed enterprise-grade cybersecurity solutions across the banking, telecom, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.

I hold an MSc in Computer Science and Engineering and a BSc in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I’ve developed a strong foundation in cybersecurity, machine learning, and system design—both in theory and practice.
